Rioja Wines

Rioja Wines La Rioja is a land where wine is grown since the arrival of the Romans, from then untilnow the relationship between this land and the wine has been a constant. Traditional varieties used to do wines in this region are (tempranillo, grenache silly,Carignan, Graciano, Viura, Malvasia and Garnacha Blanca) where the preferred varieties are Tempranillo and Viura in red on white. In 2007 the Council of the Origin Denomination of Rioja authorized for the first time since 1925 the introduction of new varieties, nine. The vintage in La Rioja is rather late in late September early October and always starts with La Rioja Baja. The harvest continues for a month, to November. Among the wines of Rioja abound on all red wines but we can also find some white and rose wines. The production of these wines is done in oak barrels for a time that can go from one year to three years before moving on to a bottle where can rest between months and 6 years. Depending on these parameters we find Crianza, Reserva or Gran Reserva. Currently there are about 600 wineries that produce wines with Denomination of Origin Rioja Ca.
